Information You Submit
A name, phone number, or address entered in a search form is sent to the outside provider that supplies the result. Bayonne Residents Directory does not retain a copy of those queries. A message sent to us contains only the details included in that message and is used to respond.
Automatic Technical Data
Hosting systems may create routine server logs, such as an IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps. We review that data in aggregate to maintain the service and understand general use. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics and, when used, advertising measurement.
How Technical Data Is Used
It is used to operate the service, diagnose problems, measure broad traffic, and improve reference pages. We do not sell visitor lists or build individual visitor profiles.
External Services
Links may lead to Hudson County or New Jersey record portals, Bayonne Library collections, archives, and sponsored search providers. Their privacy terms govern data submitted to them. This is especially important for a sponsored search result provided by another company.
Parties That May Process Data
Providers that host or support the service can process server-log information for us. Analytics and advertising providers may receive the automatic information described above. Disclosure occurs when valid legal process requires it or as otherwise required by law.
Security and Retention
The service uses an encrypted connection and retains logs only for the operational purposes described here. Because it has no accounts, it does not keep a visitor password or account profile.
Visitors Under 18
The service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. If you think a minor has sent information to us, contact us so it can be deleted.
Your Privacy Requests
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to ask about personal information a website keeps. Because Bayonne Residents Directory keeps very little, a request normally involves checking the contact mailbox and available server logs, then removing information that can be removed. Use the Contact page to make a request. Records held by New Jersey, Hudson County, or Bayonne custodians are outside our control; direct a request about those records to the office that holds them.
Policy Changes
A revised policy will be posted here. Continued use after it is posted signifies acceptance of the revised policy.
